  • Hoagartīn was the Bavarian term given by farmers to a convivial get-together in the living rooms of their farms in the evening. As had been customary for generations, songs would be sung, folk music played and tales would be narrated of past and present events. The produce of the farm was placed on the table: home-made bread, smoked pork products and cheese. Aldersbacher Hoagartīn Weisse (Aldersbacher Hoagartīn Wheat) is brewed to revive this custom. The beer on offer is a specially brewed top fermented wheat-based beer with a full-bodied tast that is pleasant to drink. Aldersbacher Hoagartīn Weisse is only available in the period from Harvest Thanksgiving to Christmas, the period when Hoagartīn get-togethers took place.
