For Het Kapittel Pater a slightly sweet flavored and dark brown beer, aromtic malt (for the dark color) is used. For abbey beer, Het Kapittel Pater has a rather low alcohol content. The hop used is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste. This beer has secondary fermentation in the bottle.
