Sol which means "Sun" in Spanish, is a tradition that began more than 100 years ago.
Sol is a refreshing beer with a malty taste.
In 1890 Amecameca Beer Brewery began operations.
It was called "Salto De Agua", and was located in the Central Region of Mexico.
The owner of this Brewery was a German gentleman, Mr. Zucherman.
The copper kettle where the beer was elaborated, was located under a roof with a hole which allowed the sun rays to project every noon.
The hole on the roof was called "La Apertura del Sol" which means "The Sun Opening".
When the light passed through the hole it proceeded to determine the fermentation process of the beer.
In 1896 Cervecerķa Moctezuma is born and three years later, Sol was officially launched.
