Following his dream, Skip Virgilio became the Brewmaster for the Pacific Beach Brewhouse in 1992. In 1995 he left to start his own brewery, AleSmith Brewing Company. Self-taught in the art and craft of brewing, Skip is the first brewer in San Diego history to bring home a gold medal from the prestigious Great American Beer Festival.
AleSmith is situated in the scenic Warehouse District of Miramar, San Diego, AleSmith is the quintessential unassuming hero. AleSmith is dedicated to hand-forging great beers from only the finest ingredients, inspired by the classic beer styles of Great Britain and Belgium.
