The foundation for the Dommelsch brewery was laid by the farmer Willem Snieders.
He had a farm and was brewing beer next that.
Until 1895 the farm and the brewery were closely related to each other.
In 1863 Dommelsch beer was already sold outside Dommelen.
In 1895 they build a new brewery next to the farm.
It was than that steam engines were first utilized.
After the change of century the demand for Dommelsch beer started increasing steadily.
The brewers family became so busy that they hired additional people.
It started with 5 employees in 1895 and around 1920 that number increased to 8.
Nowadays the brewery employed 300 people.
In the eighties Dommelsch decided to promote the Dommelsch brand nationwide.
A brew house and a bottler that use energy saving methods and increased efficiency were added.
But the old traditions of brewing beer.
Today the success of Dommelsch beer is measurable all over the Netherlands.
The beers of Dommelsch are sold everywhere: from supermarket to restaurant, from cafe to disco.
